Dear Sir,
Please confirm following facts:-
- That I have handover a letter addressed to Shri Kamal Basu, the Mayor of the Calcutta, to you handover the same to Mr.
Basu, with a request for proper action.
- On 2nd August 1988 you telephoned me and asked me the developments in the matter. You further asked me to met
you in your Corporation Chamber at 3.00 p.m. on the same day.
- I met you at your Corporation Chamber, whereupon you informed me that you had delivered the letter to Mr. Basu, personally
on 14th July, 1988.
- You in the said meeting asked me to settle the matter with Mr. Jhunjhunwala. In the said meeting I ask you, what kind
of settlement (except transfer of property to Mr. Jhunjhunwala) you are advising me? Thereafter, you connected the line of
Mayors Chamber and wanted to talk with Mr. Basu. When you failed in talk with Mr. Basu, you told me that you will inform me
lateron.
If I will not received any reply from you within 7 days from the date of receipt of this letter by you, I
will treat the matter as confirmed. As I have decided to sit on Hunger Strike on and from 28th February 1988 (1989)
at the outside Press Club. New Delhi, against evil actions of Mr. Fatehpuria and Mr. Sanmjay Kumar Jhunjhunwala, which they
are taking because of support from some politicians, name of whom I will disclose at appropriate time.
